How I Started
Rachit Poddar, a second-generation entrepreneur at Rachit Group in textiles, transitioned to venture capital in 2020 as an Angel Investor. Co-founding IVY Growth Associates, he established it as a leading Micro Venture Capital Firm with 70+ companies in the portfolio and a network of 500+ global investors, collaborating with entities like We Founder Circle and 9Unicorns.
Over the past 3 years, Rachit has collectively invested in over 100+ Growth Startups spreading PAN India across prominent sectors like Fintech, Agritech, SAAS, EV, D2C, Edtech etc.
Hailing from a tier-2 city Surat, Rachit always believed in the great potential of tier-2 cities, and conceptualised 21BY72 Surat Startup Summit in 2022 under IVY Growth Associates with the vision of bringing all the stakeholders under one roof for 3 days and putting Surat on the Global Startup Ecosystem Map. The Summit got termed as the India’s biggest startup event in their second season in 2023 with a massive footfall of over 16000 people.
He has also pursued prominent courses at University of Oxford, SPJIMR, IIM-A, HBS Online etc.
